Jim represents individuals in civil litigation. He has obtained numerous multi-million dollar jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients in several jurisdictions. He practices in both federal and state court. He has represented clients in numerous high-profile cases. He has successfully argued before the Illinois Supreme Court and submitted briefs to the United States Supreme Court.

Prior to starting his own firm, Jim was a partner at a Chicago defense firm where he concentrated his practice on professional liability and civil rights defense. He also served for eight years as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney. Jim was a first chair assigned to the felony trial division where he was responsible for the prosecution of more than 40 murder cases. He has tried more than 20 murder and felony trials to verdict.
